We hosted our first event of 2017 with our friends at General Assembly in Santa Monica with a full house of 100+ attendees. We’ve posted photos from the workshop which featured participation from everyone at the event. Cauri Jaye, one of our PMA.LA members, led a discussion around the different ways other product managers solve problems at their organization and everyone broke off into seven different groups to tackle their problems.

Here are some comments from the attendees:

“Location, agenda, facilitator, time, and value taken from event were all great! Reminded me of events in SF/Silicon Valley. Most LA events aren’t of this nature I find and are hard to come across….. this event was just amazing and made me excited to be there.”

“Because PMs are rarity and offering a place to hear out that there are others in the same boat who run into the exact same problems and learning from and contributing to the larger set of knowledge is comforting.”

Thanks to everyone who took our survey – it was our first time doing a large scale workshop and there’s definitely areas for improvement thanks to your feedback!

One of our members Anita Cheng, had some great recaps of the night on her Twitter account:

You can read all Anita’s posts on her Storify page.

Thanks for everyone who attended and don’t miss out on our next event on March 8th in Santa Monica at LEAF!
